So, even the best product of this imperfect world may contain technical error or function defectively. Each model of Fitbit device has different functions and methods to start a restart or reset. Usually, this process of resetting your Fitbit does not take more than a few minutes. This article will guide you to take every necessary action to minimize your problems with your device, especially how to reset your Fitbit.

When to Reset Your Fitbit?

Before taking any action, you should know why you are taking it. So, it’s important for you to know when you should reset your Fitbit device and when you should not. Thus, if you want to know “how to reset Fitbit”, you must know when you should do it.

There is a significant difference between a reset (soft reset) and a factory reset. Both of these resets have different effects. The most significant difference between these two types of reset is that the soft reset does not delete any data and the factory reset deletes all the data of your device.

Types of Reset

  • Soft Reset means turning your device off without erasing any data. This reset will not delete any of your data that your device has stored over the weeks/months/year.

Choose soft reset if you face the following problems with your Fitbit

  • Your Fitbit tracker doesn’t sync with your phone.
  • It doesn’t act in response to (button) presses, swipes, or taps.
  • It doesn’t turn on while charging.
  • It doesn’t track your actions.
  • Factory Reset means a full reset which will completely erase your Fitbit’s stored data.

So, choose factory reset if you want to delete every previous record and start anew.

As a kid I inherited the love for mountain bikes from my father who used to ride for weeks through the Colorado trail in the city of Denver. He had his gang, and I followed pretty much the same track.

Later on, my interest in biking grew more after joining the Enduro race back in 2013. My buddies and I also participated in the Downhill racing for the third consecutive year, and it’s been an amazing experience.
